With an idyllic, peaceful location in the middle of a magnificent mountain world, 4-star Hotel Winterbauer in Flachau is an absolute oasis of relaxation and wellbeing. Winter sports fans, gourmets, ambitious individualists and families, all find a home-away-from-home with us. We are the heart of the Sportwelt Amadé. From here, you have ideal access to complete skiing enjoyment – three modern ski areas are close by. A hiking path and sled run take you from right here at our family hotel to all of the fun and action.  Wellness lovers unwind in our in-house spa area which, spanning some 200 square meters, offers amenities including a massage room, hot tub, Finnish sauna and steam bath.

 

In summer, there is lots of space for relaxation and new discoveries. You are greeted by a ca. 4,000 square meter garden – together with an organic herb garden including rows of grape vines, there are ponies, rabbits, a children’s playground, barefoot path with Kneipp pond, fishing pond, picnic area and a green space for volleyball and badminton. All of this on 1,080 meters, with absolutely no traffic to contend with. The hiking paths begin right outside the hotel’s front door, leading you to the Flachau region, Altenmarkt as well as Zauchensee.  Gourmets enjoy a delectable pampering on the sun terrace, as they do in our comfortable dining rooms, featuring toque-quality and AMA-certified cuisine. As a gourmet hotel, we value products that come directly from our own organic farm or the immediate region. Every week, we also bake farmhouse-style bread. Sustainable energy sources are likewise important to us. We supply our energy needs by means of our own solar panels as well as a wood-chip heating system.
