The 300 years old Fundahof – a great place to stay Every season has its beautiful shapes – and we invite you to celebrate the different times of the year at the beautiful Fundahof, a refurbished farmhouse, located in the well known village of herbs, the Natur- und Kräuterdorf Irschen in Carinthia. Natural living garanteed 10 years ago my husband Edi and I renovated our old farmhouse. We decided to use only healthy, organic materials to revitalize the old building. We offer 2 apartments, named Lavender and Marigold. The apartment Lavender is the smaller one and has room for 2 adults. The apartment Lavender offers a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and a beautiful conservatory/sunroom, a separated room with a beautiful view to the surrounding mountains and can be used as an extra bedroom. 51m2 The apartment Marigold has two separated bedrooms, a spacious fully-equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with daylight, 2 roomy balconies and an extra room in the “Tower”, accessible via a corkscrew stair. The room in the “tower” offers a great view to the mountains and is truly a place for relaxing. 90 m2 In both apartments we guarantee a pleasant sleeping in beds covered with sheep wool sheets and mattresses made of organic material. At our Fundahof pure relaxation will be celebrated. We offer an herbal garden –even in wintertime, a pyramid made of glass to find its inner peace and many, many more ways to relax. Green power at its best Our farm is fully organic and we believe in the power of nature and in the importance of sustainability. We are very proud of our photovoltaic & solar power facilities, which provide our apartments with sustainable, healthy power. We invite you to get to know our products and our way of living. At our Fundahof you can taste our self-made herbal and farming products, of course all made of organic ingredients. What to do at the Fundahof? In our garden we have built our own pyramid of glass. The pyramid is used as a greenhouse and enables fresh vegetable even in the wintertime. And of course, the pyramid is also a place to chill and relax. Kids are very welcome at our farm. We have cats, chicken, ducks and cows and the kids have the possibility to get in touch with our animals. Our garden is huge and there is always something to explore. The Fundahof is perfectly located, so even for adults there a lots to do. In wintertime you can start your tour through the snow directly from your apartment and in a short distance there a ski resorts for every taste. In the summertime we of course focus on our herbs and so we invite to get to know the fascinating world of herbs. We offer guided walking tours through our herbal gardens. You will learn about the secrets of herbs and their beneficial impact on our health. In addition, in the nearby surrounding we have beautiful lakes and the region offers many different outdoor activities, e.g. climbing, hiking, rafting, biking etc. At our Fundahof you can purchase our self-made herbal and farming products, of course all made of organic ingredients. Our farm was one of the first Kräuterhof farms in the nature & herb village Irschen. We have actively implemented the herbal ideas and are one of the many worth seeing herbal stations. On our Fundahof grow many herbs and medicinal plants, which we treat lovingly and carefully. You will experience our natural, colorful meadows, herb gardens and hillsides and feel the invigorating energy in our self-made glass house pyramid. As a holiday guest, you can pluck your herbal teas yourself and process them according to your needs. On some occasions and in our everyday life, you can watch in the new herbal room, how to make herbal incense cones, how to stir simple natural cosmetics or how to build raised and raised beds. Recycling and recycling of valuable resources, using EM and ground rock meal have been our living permaculture for almost 30 years.
